Velvet Fabric

Velvet is a sleek, soft fabric with a densely plush nap. At Get Set Style Furniture, we usually use this kind of fabrics on our products. It’s normal to find shading, marking and texturing of the pile and these are characteristics of velvet.

 

• A soft dry brush in the direction of the pile to restore the natural fabric direction and loft. This also will help to will remove the dust and damaging dirt particles that accumulate.
• Use a soft dry brush Blot spills immediately with a soft, clean cloth or absorbent paper towel. If possible, clean them before the spills dry. If you leave these spots untreated, they can eventually lead to bald patches.
• It’s normal to get pilling due to constant use. The pills can be removed by a power operated pilling tool.
• Do not place the productnear direct heat sources, such as sunlight, heating, and windows.
• Keep the product away from sharp or abrasive items.
• Chemicals, alcohol or detergents may cause greater damage and discolourationof the fabrics.
